Well KSirc is usable.. though a bit buggy (what looks like nbsp's appearing - 
wonder if it's to do with utf-8 locale) - I use KSirc from cvs HEAD now. 
Incidentally I get the same error as you running dsirc compiled from KDE cvs 
HEAD (except it's now line 184).
