Have you still got the "Panel Notification Area"? It's hard to tell. The only evidence is a hashed verticle line like the one at the left of the task list. Add a new one to see what I mean. To add the Notification Area, which contained the RHN Alert Notification Tool applet, right click on an unoccupied area of your Gnome panel (move stuff if necessary). The right click menu -> Add to Panel -> Utilities -> Notification Area The to start the applet again, type this line in a gnome-terminal: /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/rhn-applet-gui --sm-config-prefix /rhn-apple & Hopefully wordwrap doesn't distort it. Note the & at the end to background the process. $ exit This should fix it. Worked for me here. I don't know of an easier way, perhaps someone else does? -Ryan -- Powered by Red Hat Linux 8.0 / Kernel 2.4.18-14 -- Psyche-list mailing list Psyche-list@redhat.com https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/psyche-list
