It would be a good idea to check the integrity of the RH8.0 CD you are
trying to boot from.  To do this, use the md5sum program which you may
already have on a Linux machine, or can be found for a Windows machine
with a quick Google search.  (md5sum.exe)

In Linux, assuming hdc is your CD device:  (do not mount CD)

# md5sum /dev/hdc

The correct md5sum's are published for the RH8.0 discs:

d7b16b081c20708dc0dd7d41793a4177  psyche-i386-disc1.iso
