hmmmm ... i didn't have to do that since my /boot/grub/grub.conf 
*already* had an appended kernel parameter of "hdb=ide-scsi",
but i'm assuming that that's because it's also a CD-RW and 
(i'm guessing here) a writer will automatically get that.

am i guessing right here?
