A) does the linksys have DHCP turned on.
B) does eth0 ever get an IP address when you set it to DHCP?
(ifconfig eth0)
C) Do you get DNS settings in /etc/resolv.conf
D) what do you do to test the "internet"
E) what "error" message do you get?

We can help you, but you _have_ to be forthcoming with information.

Hey,

Sorry thought I was giving decent info.
As I said;
A) DHCP on lynkis is ON and working, I see the linux box on the DHCP table
from the Lynsis and
B) the eth0 card is assigned the IP from the lynksis, everything is fine
there.
Now the rest,
C) The setting appearing in /etc/resolv.conf is: nameserver 192.168.1.1
(which is the Lynksis IP, the default gateway)
D) I test by simply trying to access a web page with mozilla. And the RedHat
automatic Update can't connect either.
E) Error message is "<WebSite> could not be found. Check address..."

Thanks,

Eric Potvin
