Currently, drivers do not contain any special code for RandR
support at all, as the features of RandR that are implemented
currently do not require driver support - it is in driver
independant code.

RandR currently only implements resolution changing (resize) and
refresh rate changing. Reflection and Rotation are not
implemented at all. Also, when Xinerama is active, RandR is
disabled. It isn't clear what "the right thing to do" is in
Xinerama configurations.

RandR will be extended in the future to support rotation and
reflection, and may or may not be useable with Xinerama depending
on what complexities exist, and various other factors. There is
no timetable of when any of these things will be implemented or
available to my knowledge other than when Keith and Jim have time
to work on them.

Hope this helps.
