I've just updated XFree86 4.2.1-8 to 4.2.1-9, and have put up downloadable packages for people to test. For complete list of changes, download one of the smaller rpm packages, and do: rpm -qp --changelog XFree86....rpm | less Read all the changelog entries starting at the release you were using upward to find out what all has changed and been documented. For those who aren't aware, please note that XFree86 4.2.1 is a *minor* release of X, and not a major one. If you're running RHL 8.0 with 4.2.0 already as shipped, this test release picks up a few bug fixes and whatnot, and a handful of other things. It should more or less install and run clean. There is no major new hardware support except for Cyrix MediaGX/Natsemi Geode. Please report any problems in bugzilla. I plan on releasing an erratum XFree86 4.2.1 for RHL 8.0 in the near future, so the more people who test this, the better. Thanks. -- Mike A.
