The 4.x packaging when added in RHL 7.0 was brand new from the ground up packaging. Since you're the only person to report this since then, (2+ years), I wouldn't consider it a major catastrophe. I have added a dependancy on cpp to my current developemental packages. It will remain to be seen now how many people complain that XFree86 forcibly requires cpp. I guess an alternative would be to split XFree86 up into 200 subpackages and make each application have properly tracked dependancies. That'd be a fun thing to manually install. ;o) At any rate, it is fixed now, and is a moot point in any case. -- Mike A.
