My XFree86 packages do not ever compile new kernel DRM modules
nor install them. So every new release of XFree86 that comes
out, one will have to manually compile the kernel DRM using the
DRM source included with XFree86, or wait until Linus merges the
new DRM, or until we release a new kernel with the new DRM.

My guess is that is the problem you're seeing.

Hope this helps.
