Hi We have recently ported our tools to Red hat linux. In one of our application we are facing the problem that it wedges the machine. Log file shows that process has completed its job, but then machine almost hangs. -Process cannot be killed. -process is in run state (not waiting on I/O) -process run time keeps incrementing endlessly. -process memory size is low (41MB) -gdb cannot attach to the process. This does not happen in every run, but happens randomly once in a while. The machine is IBM with 1xCPU (Xeon 2.4MHz) 4GB RAM running the RH7.3 BigMem kernel.
