mozilla start segfault

 I Bugzilla'd this yesterday, along with some strace output ... it
looks like if the file isn't writable it's mistakenly munmap()ing
the data and then trying to access it.

 I only noticed it because I was fiddling to see if I could get the
JRE to work with Mozilla ...
