Actually, JFS is the oldest of them all. JFS was the
original journalling filesystem, invented by IBM and
was ported over to linux. Reiserfs was released on
Linux before JFS, but that is only because IBM does
much QA before releasing. JFS was being ported to
linux before Reiserfs was started.
