Jack - You could try putting the DNS name of your server in the /etc/hosts file on the server, like this (assuming the server name is "mx"): 127.0.0.1 mx mx.my_domain.com localhost.localdomain localhost Sendmail seems to use the hosts file to create some header information. Also make sure to put the fully-qualified server name in /etc/mail/local-host- names . Use CBL to troubleshoot: http://cbl.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi -Glenn. ---------- Original Message ----------- From: "Allen, Jack" <Jack.Allen@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: General Red Hat Linux discussion list <redhat-list@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thu, 26 Aug 2010 19:01:16 -0400 Subject: sendmail domain configuration > Hello: > > I need to know exactly what options need to be specified in > sendmail.mc to generate the proper sendmail.cf file so the domain > name my ISP sees is valid. > -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
