Geez, chill.

The most likely culprit is a app that goes through your address book and automagically sends out the invite (think Facebook, twitter, etc.).

Alot of people don't realize what's gonna happen when they allow the application access to their address book. In the same way people forgot to tell their OOO reminders not to send to addresses with List headers.

Let's all practice a little patience and just use the delete key :-)
