Its possible to install yum-priorities.

the priority is set in the .repo file itself like :

[base], [addons], [updates], [extras] ... priority=1
[centosplus],[contrib] ... priority=2
Third Party Repos... priority=N  (where N is > 10 and based on your preference)

you should also check if yum-priorities is activated in
/etc/yum/pluginconf.d/priorities.conf
