I agree that you should be running a newer version of Fedora, FC8 would
be a good choice. But you should also learn a little about the kernel
and how it works. You should be able to get the driver for that card at
the OEM of the motherboard and load it into the kernel as a module.

What is the output of 'lspci -v'? Any reason why Fedora Core 5 is
being used? You might have better luck with a newer version of
Fedora. At the very least I would download the latest Fedora Live CD
to see if it automatically finds your nic.
