Physical memory present on a machine

Hi all,

We have a machine running RHEL3 AS.
Linux manhattan.db.toronto.edu 2.4.21-47.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 5
20:30:47 EDT 2006 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

I think that the machine has 8GB RAM, but since it is running 32-bit
OS only 4GB is available. Is there a way I can find out if the machine
has 8GB or 4GB ram present physically.

cat /proc/meminfo shows 4GB
