All:
      I used the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-routes route-eth1.  I
put the ipaddress,gateway and netmask in the route-eth1 file.  Thanks for
all your help.  lastly, I've been using Debian for the last 2 1/2 years.  I
have to reacquaint myself with Redhat.
