You might try RHEL4 Update 5 (Beta).  Don't kow what chipset the 745 is using,
but the SATA chipset in the Dimension 9200 (ICH8 variant) wouldn't boot unless
I was using one of the newer kernels (EL4 Update 5 or FC6's kernels).
