Yup, it's on the schedule to be upgraded - we just haven't been able to put out enough other fires to get to that one.

Your best bet is to simply convert the box to use UTC instead of the local
timezone.  RedHat 8 isn't supported by anyone anymore.  Unless there is a
VERY compelling reason to stick with RH8 you'll be much better off to make
plans to upgrade to an OS that is activly recieving updates.  That's a nice
little security problem you've got there.
