NFS mount problem

I have a bunch of RHEL WS 3 boxes mounting a directory from a Sun box that
contains all the users home directories (/home). Everything works well. A
controller failed on the Sun box causing failover to occur. Once everything
was restored the NFS mount came back up and all was well, however one of our
users keeps getting a Stale NFS file handle when they do ls of their home
directory.

I suppose its because they have open files from the old NFS mount that is no
longer valid. I forced a remount using "mount /home" as root and see /home
being mounted twice now.

Is there anything wrong with this? How do I remove the old /home mount as I
see /home listed twice when I do a 'df'?
