just download binary file (.bin i think jdk) from Java site and it will work
fine.

has anyone managed to get the jre working for firefox on a 64bit AMD box ?
firefox-1.0-12.EL4 with jre-1.5.0_07 from java.sun.com ?
I've tried linking the plugin to /usr/lib64/firefox-1.0/plugins and to
~/.firefox/plugins but get the following error when I try to run firefox

object file: No such file or directory

Ive googled but that hasn't been much help.
