I take it you did not read the description for keychain? What keychain allows you to do is to use keys *with a passphrase* so that even if your keys are misappropriated, you're still safe. This isn't to say that you absolutely need keychain - it just offers an additional level of security that you don't get by using keys without passphrases. In many cases, using a null key is adequate. .../Ed > Chris St. Pierre > > On Mon, 15 Aug 2005, Will McDonald wrote: > > >On 15/08/05, mcclnx mcc <mcclnx@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > >> We plan to use SCP/SFTP to transfer files from one > >> Redhar server to another redhat server (AS 3.0). > >> > >> The problem is how to put "password" on batch job? > >> > >> Anyone hasve sample for that? > > > >Have a look at Keychain. > > > >http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/keychain/index.xml > > > >There are RPMs in the DAG repositories. > > > >Will. > > > >-- > >redhat-list mailing list > >unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > >https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list > > > > -- > redhat-list mailing list > unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list > -- Ed Wilts, RHCE Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:ewilts@xxxxxxxxxx Member #1, Red Hat Community Ambassador Program -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
