Thanks for your responses.
I have actually a Redhat and I haven't found new distrib built on 2.6
kernel.
Does Anyone has more information abut this?

This is not a minor upgrade to the kernel!  When you go from 2.4 to 2.6,
it's not as simple as booting a new kernel - there are supporting
packages that have to change.

You may be better off upgrading your basic distribution to one that
is based on a 2.6 kernel and then applying the appropriate kernel
changes within that release.
