you are just all right.
we saw advertised capabilities on the switch port as:
10HD, 10FD, 100HD, 100FD, 1000FD and I wanted just to have only 1000FD and with Current Flow Control Enabled.

If it's an e1000 then you're on a GigE network, right?  Then you can't
disable autonegotiation - this is mandated in the protocol spec.
I've personally only seen autonegotiation issues with 100mbps
connections.
