I imagine this is because you're probably not hitting the typical demographic. You're more likely to find people that know Linux *and* Radio Broadcasting in a broadcasting forum, not a Linux forum.

Perhaps if you describe what kind of tasks the software needs to perform you'll get some answers. I'm not at all familiar with what is involved in "jock talk, satellite feeds and on-air callers", from a technical point-of-view. Obviously, there are plenty of music players/streamers in the FOSS community. There might be solutions for your other requirements, but it's hard to say without understanding those requirements.
