Hi all,
I dont know if this is (was) a bug or not. But when ever I try to use the last -i command on my Red Hat 9 server, I get an IP address (128.99.1.64) against a local login. The ouptut looks something like this:

prompt> last -i | more
shashank pts/0 0.0.0.0 Wed Dec 15 15:02 - 15:03 (00:01)
shashank :0 128.99.1.64 Wed Dec 15 15:02 - 15:03 (00:01)
shashank pts/0 0.0.0.0 Wed Dec 15 15:00 - 15:01 (00:01)
shashank :0 128.99.1.64 Wed Dec 15 15:00 - 15:01 (00:01)

May be this is fixed in the latest verion of last?

The ":0" is showing you that somebody logged into the console via GDM right? (The X-windows login?)
