ok ed...

i'm curious... can you walk me through the basic steps to take a vanilla
system, with no floppy/cd drive and get it to load up via ethernet/internet,
from a remote server??

i have a system..
i turn it on...
and then what do i do..??

Fire up a normally network connected PC Open a web browser and goto google. type into the search box "linux PXE boot howto" select the first link start reading.

Quite easy when you get used to it..

:-)

(NB: this is rather tounge in cheek, not ment as an insult, PXE and remote booting is quite a complex subject and there are many very useful howto's on the net that cover off this subject in great detail)
