Usage of statvfs on AS 3.0

Hello All,

I am porting an application from Redhat AS 2.1 to Redhat AS 3.0(IA-32) and
Redhat AS 3.0(IPF).
Existing application uses statfs call.
Man pages of Redhat AS 3.0 say that statfs is deprecated, so use statvfs
instead.
As per my understanding, statvfs is glibc library call.
My question is:
How do I confirm that statvfs is not incompatible with GPL?
If there is a possibility of incompatibility, then what is the method of
preventing it?

Regards,
Kedar
