You might want to try a memtest86 ( http://www.memtest86.com/ ) or the torture test option in prime95 ( http://www.mersenne.org/ ). Both processes are pretty good at detecting CPU/Memory problems. Also, you could use smartctl to take a look at the hard disks. Perhaps also Bonnie++ if you want to apply some load to the drives to see how they react. Hope that helps.
