Is there a way to disable the power button? Currently, pressing the power button causes an immediate hard-power-down of the system. I would like the option to either disable the power button for non-privileged users altogether. If that isn't possible, it would be nice to at least have the machine shut down cleanly.
Apart from ACPI (which I don't know at all yet), you may also want to see what options the computer's BIOS offers you. Most have some sort of option for the power button.
