Even if you did it yourself taking the test costs over $700...  That's a considerable expense...IMO..and I have a job...

I agree completely.  Given the high unemployment rate among IT folk, not
many people have the $2500 to spare.

If anyone has good tips on doing it yourself, I'd like to know.
