I have just checked the NFS server's system log files. It has the

I wouldn't expect the extra image would cause any probs, but it's probably
worth trying it without the extra image in the directory.
Any chance the install log is in /root? Probably wouldn't have anything
much.
I read through the Redhat linux documentation about the installation
guide. It says:
You can only have the ISO images for one release and one variant of Red
Hat Enterprise Linux in the directory.
What does this mean?

It means the only iso images you should have in the nfs exported directory are
the ones for the install. Move the update iso (and any others), except for
the 4 "rhel-3-i386-es" iso's, to a different directory during the install.
