Red Hat dropped inetd a few years ago in favor of xinetd; Red Hat 6.2, 
I think is the last distribution to carry it.  You can still find the 
6.2 version though at rpmfind:

http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=inetd&submit=Search+...
