NewBie plea for help: re-spawning kdmenu entries

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I've tried to get the kmenu the way I want it after installing some additional
programs... I've used the kmenu edit for my normal user and went back after
logging out to find that the menu items I've hidden were showing back up.
I've edited them using root kmenu to see if that was just gonna edit it in
root's homedir or throughout the system... no luck.
I've used konsole and manually moved each of the menu items to where I want
them but after logging offf they reappear and screw up everything I've done..
I've going freaking loopy! Have I missed something obvious or is there a
script at login that re-spawns them cause I'm at a loss and have no idea what
to do next..

If somone can save my sanity, please help me out
BTW, my system is redhat 9
