try commenting out in /etc/X11/XF86Config file the line that says something like
# InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
and boot and see if the mouse is causing the X failure.
Also try running mouseconfig from a terminal...it lists your mouse as a serial aka ttyS0, make sure it is a serial mouse not a ps/2 or usb ...
one other thing you might try is unplugging the mouse, running kudzu , removing configuration
reboot, with the mouse plugged back in, and kudzu should reconfigure it ....

I'm still working with the same problem.
I'm now wondering are the mouse drivers missing from directory /usr/X11R6/lib/modules. Should there be something referring "mouse"?
Where is correct location for mouse driver mouse? See .log and config file in the end of message.
This would mean that login in KDE desktop make these files disappear! If true, how to get these files back?
