I'm a different Ed, but pop and sendmail are not related.


POP authentication issues are addressed in the FAQ.  Check
/usr/share/doc/imap<version>/FAQ.txt

Sorry (different Ed) Ed has reached the point where he can now pop his server but he can't
send mail to the account other than from the localhost.
I suppose we have actually reached the point where a change of subject is required.
But hopefully we are very near to getting him sorted.
