To enable "imap" change directory to "/etc/xinetd.d" open file "imap" in your favourite editor. Modify "disable = yes" to "disable = no" and restart "xinetd" service.
Instead of directly editing that file, simply type the command "chkconfig imap on" to achieve the same result. Neater, quicker, and less prone to error.
