How can you get > a list of all the A records of the clients that dynamicly > register with DNS? The journal entries will be written to the zone file upon shutdown. So to get the zone file updated for reading, use brute force: # service named restart Bind 9.3 introduces a method to delete the journal and update the zone file without a restart: # rndc freeze <zone> # rndc unfreeze <zone> The freeze command deletes the journal and updates the zone file. The unfreeze command reloads the zone file and starts a new journal.
