lot of people posting that have problems with up2date. As many of you know Red Hat's SSL certificate expired recently some peoples are getting failed messages and some are getting Unresolvable chain of dependencies however it can be resolved by https://rhn.redhat.com/help/latest-up2date.pxt with --intall --nodeps or -u --nodeps (not recommended)

or

try NOT RED HAT up2date http://www.nrh-up2date.org/download.html

Hi,

Whenever I try running up2date I get the following infuriating message:

Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
alsa-kmdl-2.4.20-20.9 0.9.6-1.fr_7.rh9. requires /boot/vmlinux-2.4.20-20.9

However, /boot/vmlinux-2.4.20-20.9 is present on my machine, which leads me
to believe that up2date is talking rubbish . Is there a way for me to remove
this dependency by hand and force the upgrade to take place?

Thanks for any help,

Mark
