No I didn't get an answer, but I did get "setfattr" and "getfattr" to work
after converting the filesystem to XFS.

Subject: acl support for RH 9.0 ?

James,

Did you get an answer to this question? I have the
same problem?

Mark

Thanks Ed for this info.

I installed the RPM and I can get info with "getfacl",
but I cannot set
permissions with "setfacl".

Has anyone on this list been able to get ACL to work
with the Reiser file
system?

I cannot set the extended attributes to directories on
the ReiserFS.
[root kilroy home]# setfacl -m u:someuser:rwx
/home/userdir/
setfacl: /home/userdir: Operation not supported

Has anyone had any success with this?

Thank you,

James
