Happy Holidays everyone, I need a bit of assistance. I have both RH el 3.0 ws & es installed on some personal boxes and need to get the databases working. After doing installs on both boxes, I do not see a way to start mysql or postgresql. Can someone please let me know the proper way to start them in RH as there does not seem to be /etc/init.d start files? Also, is there any RH specific documentation on the db's and what state the rpms has left them? Thanks, Chris PS. Here is my rpm -qa from the ES server grepping for sql [root@neo init.d]# rpm -qa | grep mysql mysql-3.23.58-1 mod_auth_mysql-20030510-1.ent mysql-bench-3.23.58-1 mysql-devel-3.23.58-1 php-mysql-4.3.2-8.ent libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.6.5-5 and for my ws: mod_auth_pgsql-2.0.1-3.ent mysql-3.23.58-1 php-pgsql-4.3.2-8.ent rh-postgresql-docs-7.3.4-8 mod_auth_mysql-20030510-1.ent rh-postgresql-tcl-7.3.4-8 postgresql-odbc-7.3-3 mysql-bench-3.23.58-1 rh-postgresql-devel-7.3.4-8 rh-postgresql-jdbc-7.3.4-8 rh-postgresql-7.3.4-8 mysql-devel-3.23.58-1 php-mysql-4.3.2-8.ent rh-postgresql-contrib-7.3.4-8 rh-postgresql-libs-7.3.4-8 rh-postgresql-python-7.3.4-8 libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.6.5-5 -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
