Installing Kernel Source

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Im attempting to configure my Logitech Quickcam and the module requires the
kernel source to be installed.
Im using RH9 and the 2.4.20-8 kernel, as updated by using the Yum package
manager.

I issued a: yum install kernel-source and it reported already having the
most recent version installed, but the camera make command is failing
because it says it cannot locate the kernel source.
The error line from make is:
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/build/include/linux/config.h: No such file or
directory

/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/ exists, and build is a symlink pointing to
/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/, but that directory doesnt exist.

If yum says the kernel source is installed, any idea where it might be? Or
how can I otherwise install it?

Thanks.
