FYI,

Plugged it in to see if it would work. So far so good, except I had to modify /etc/fstab due to the assignment of /hde and /hdf to the two drives. This required changing the main storage area of /hdb to /hdf and /hda3 (swap) had to be changed to /hde3. Looks like I could leave the first two drives alone, and plug in four more drives so that /hda, /hdb would be on the motherboard, and /hde, /hdf, /hdg and /hdh would be on the Ultra 100 TX2.

Interesting stuff.

Hi folks,

Just wondering if I can use a promise tech TX-100 in RH9 to hook up /hda, /hdb, /hdc /hdd all IDE stuff, naturally.

Anyone with comments? Anyone know where I can look for any hardware specs on Red Hat Network (link??).

Thank you,
Tom Klem
