Apache 2.0.40 and PHP 4.2.2

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I'm trying to verify some information regarding PHP's support for Apache
2.0.

The standard RH 8.0 install included Apache 2.0.40 (httpd-2.0.40-11.7
package) and various PHP 4.2.2 packages (php-4.2.2-8.0.8 and
php-mysql-4.2.2-8.0.8 packages).

I've been "informed" by a vendor of a commercial Linux product that even
though they support Apache 1.3x and higher (including Apache 2.x supposedly)
and PHP 4.0 and higher, that they don't support "experimental" packages.

So what I'm trying to find out is whether the Apache/PHP packages as
distributed with RH 8.0 are "experimental" or whether they are indeed
release-level packages. Does anyone out there in Redhat-List land know
anything about this?

Sincerely,
