So then does each .conf file have just a VirtualHost directive in it and
that's it? Do I need to include each virtual host file into the main
httpd.conf file?

p.s. I will be doing this based on IP address instead of virtual host
because it seems easier AND I have enough public IP addresses AND I will
be using SSL on both sites.
