ACL and ReiserFS {was: multiple groups & soft/hard links}

Thanks Ed for this info.

I installed the RPM and I can get info with "getfacl", but I cannot set
permissions with "setfacl".

Has anyone on this list been able to get ACL to work with the Reiser file
system?

I cannot set the extended attributes to directories on the ReiserFS.
[root@kilroy home]# setfacl -m u:someuser:rwx /home/userdir/
setfacl: /home/userdir: Operation not supported

Has anyone had any success with this?

Thank you,

James

You need to use ACLs to accomplish this. Depending on which release of
Red Hat Linux you have, you may or may not have ACL support.
