Problems with Zio USB Compact flash reader.

Hi I have tried to mount my Zio Microtech card reader but keep getting 'not a
valid block device.'
I have compiled all the correct options in the kernel
usb-storage, SDDR-09 driver etc. Kernel version is 2.4.20-20.9 (redhat rpm).
I have used scsi emulation, loaded all the correct modules, mounted with vfat
etc. I am using Redhat 9.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks,
    Rob
