If you go to the Linux Journal web site, they have an article on Fedora which includes
links to the unofficial FAQ and several other references that answered my NVidia question.

The answer  was to add "CC=gcc32" in front of the running the script to force the compiler

CC=gc32 sh Nvidia.run         (actual name is real long, this is just an example)

They have links in the article to the mailing lists for Fedora
