RH 8.0 service utility

Does anyone know where I can find some docs on the RH 8.0 /sbin/service
utility? 'man service' doesn't return anything.

I've created a script in /etc/init.d to launch the jrun process, and I also
used /sbin/chkconfig to setup the jrun "service" for the appropriate
runlevels.

JRun needs to run under a non-root account, and my script handles this
through the use of 'su -l jrunaccount -c "some commands" '. I'm hoping
that *maybe* the service docs will assit me with eliminating the use of the
su command.
